Your landing page is intended to convert visitors to brand loyalists and customers. The only way you can do this is by making sure your website had a strong, unique value proposition (UVP) to tell visitors why they should buy from your company and how your company can solve their problems. An adequately crafted UVP will convert visitors, drive traffic, and increase sales.
Your UVP should be short and straightforward. Visitors should understand what your company offers in five seconds or less. Express your UVP openly and directly with the top headline. Follow it up with a more detailed explanation with an accompanying subheading or short paragraph. Use bullet points to communicate the top three or so benefits your company or product offers. Avoid using flowery descriptions and business jargon to craft a simple and effective message.
Images and videos are also great for capturing your visitor’s attention. What does your product do? What does it look like, and how does it work? Pictures make it easy for visitors to immediately get a good idea of what your company does or sells.
You should add social proof of your company’s success. Include customer testimonials, positive reviews, publications who have written about you, and logos of companies who use your product.
Finally, tell your visitors what makes your company different from competitors. Free shipping, better prices, faster service, and fewer fees are all tremendous competitive advantages for your company to tout.
